In Hyde Park, a 1910 residence was transformed into a moody, layered retreat inspired by the glamour of London’s grand hotels. Original stained-glass windows and eight historic fireplaces guided a palette of rich, dramatic hues, while contemporary touches kept the home fresh for a blended family of six.

Gathering-focused spaces—like the hand-painted Bar Lounge with a fluted Calacatta Viola marble bar—invite both lively entertaining and quiet moments. The updated kitchen flows to a versatile breakfast room, while whimsical details enliven the kids’ third-floor retreat. The result is a home that balances tradition and innovation, honoring its past while embracing the present.
